Our regular office hours at all locations are Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
Our Pooler office only is open on Saturdays for same day emergent sick visits 8 am – 12 pm.
We are open some holidays for half a day in the Pooler location. Please note: Your insurance company may require you to pay a higher cost share on holidays and Saturdays.
In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that your child is a patient of Kids First Pediatrics, and they will contact us.
If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to our doctors after our regular hours, please call our office at (912) 748-4527. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.
At Kids First Pediatrics, we accept most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (912) 748-4527 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard.

If one of our doctors suggests a specialist evaluation or diagnostic testing that requires a referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible. Some referrals require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately. Insurance guidelines prohibit us from backdating referrals. We require three business days for the processing of routine referrals.
Doctors at Kids First Pediatrics have hospital privileges at Memorial Medical Center and Candler Hospital.
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Kids First Pediatrics are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (912) 748-4527. No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
